Sami Aji first came to our attention when he was 11 years-old. He was very sick and unable to have surgery. We got medical care for him straight away and discovered he had severe malnutrition and Tuberculosis. It took us a year to get him strong enough for surgery but sadly his ill health had taken a terrible toll on his body. He was operated on in 2008 for both his lip and palate and is now a very confident young man but is often sick due to his terrible ill health as a child. We keep in contact with him and keep a watchful eye on his health.
